Don't you worry about the distance.

Ruffled blouse - HK
Skirt - Miss Selfridge
Spotted tights - HK
Bow - gift
Shoes - Marks and Spencer
Red lip laquer - MAC
Nail varnish - Laura Paige
Rings - Accessorize and various

Here's a gander at a work outfit. This is actually dressier than what I normally wear but I wish I had more blouses like this so I could create more 'classical' looks. I think ruffles are so romantic and feminine. Dressing like this must make me look older (or perhaps it was the excess make up) as a woman at the post office asked me about mortgages and life insurance. People usually dismiss me as being 15 years old.

I'm glad that the snow has subsided (for now) but I'm a little sad I didn't take any outfit photos whilst there was a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground. Saying that, it's nice not having to de-ice the car every morning and shivering in work.

Is everyone geared up for Christmas? I was really excited for it until December hit and now I feel nothing. Perhaps I just need to do some more Christmas shopping... for myself!!! Maybe I'll get some cosy Ugg slippers or these amazing discounted See by Chloe platforms. Or maybe I'll treat myself to something from the new Marc by Marc Jacobs collection at Daniel Footwear.

"Women's Shoes by Marc Jacobs - too irresistible!"

I had wrists like steel and I felt complete.

T-shirt - Gap
Cardigan - H&M
Skirt - Miss Selfridge
Tights - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Vivienne Westwood x Melissa
Ring - Accessorize
Hat - fancy dress shop

This post has been tagged "work" but it's a semi-lie. I wore it all for work apart from the hat. I'd worn my Hush Puppies to work, but an ASOS package was waiting for me when I arrived. I was so excited to receive my new shoes I wore them straight away. My work wardrobe is a bit more 'classic' than my regular wardrobe but I think it's still 'my style' as I usually incorporate my favourite elements of nautical, bows and ruffles.

Really, I just wanted to show you my new shoes! I'm glad I took the plunge and bought them.

Life and death at 30,000 feet.

Camisole - Gap
Knitted dress - New Look
Shoes - Candish
Handbag - Louis Vuitton

This is an outfit I wore for work on Monday. I'd been wanting a breton stripe dress for a while, so when I found this in New Look for £12, I bought it straight away. It's slightly see-through and a bit short but nothing too scandalous.

Oh, and here is also the debut of my new hair colour. It's called 'praline' (ie. brown) but I still have a reddish tint. I think I like it. I hope you've all had a good weekend! The weather here is delightful, for once.

Why is the Nokia N900 sold out? I've been lusting over it for months! Might get the Palm Pre Plus then... what phone do you have?

Hey, don't write yourself off yet.

Polo neck - Gap
Skirt - American Apparel
Scarf - H&M
Diamond tights - HK
Boots - Deichmann Shoes

I hope every has had an amazing 2009! Here's to a fastastic 2010! What did you get up to on new year's eve? This year my mum had a hot pot party at ours with some family and friends. I'm the NYE grinch so I surprised myself by having a good time. I ate lots of scrummy food and we pulled the Wii out and had lots of fun/laughs. There were also fireworks, Asti and secret gin + Cokes.

The above outfit is what I wore on new year's day. My family went out for dinner before my cousin returned to London. Since I doubt you can tell, the top and skirt are both navy in colour. Navy was my most worn colour in 2009. As you can see, I wore my H&M scarf again. I go through phases of wearing one item a LOT. I think I shall take it to Tokyo with me... Eek, I'm flying on Wednesday and I'm so unprepared! I have a vague list of tourist sites and shops. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations? Can be things to see / eat / avoid saying. I'd love your help! The snow is back. I hope planes aren't grounded.

My new thing is posting pictures of food. Here are a few things I ate on Friday; soup, lobster and giant oranges.

All I need is the starlight starlight.

Dress - Sharei Lamar
Cardigan - H&M
Shoes - Miss Selfridge
Clutch - Gap
Coat - Miss Selfridge
Hat - Primark

I've been slacking with outfit posts lately. That was the whole point of this blog, oh well. This is what I wore for my work Christmas party on Friday. I didn't want to be too dressed up. I only put the hat on afterwards because it was so cold, but I think it looks pretty cute so I wish I'd had it on the whole time.

I had pate + toast for starters, salmon + trimmings for my main and a Belgian chocolate cheesecake to finish for my meal. Afterwards there was karaoke. They put a joke one for me and a few girls to sing. I thought it was an Abba song but it turned out to be 'Like A Virgin'. Cringe. I don't even know how the verse goes. Ugh, it was horrible!

Je ne regrette rien.

T-shirt - Gap
Cardigan - Warehouse
Skirt - American Apparel
Shoes - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop

On Orange Wednesday my friend and I went to watch Coco Avant Chanel. Oh my, she was such an amazing woman! Not only for her creativity, but for her attitude, persistence and perseverance. My friend and I decided to wear Chanel-esque outfits for our viewing. This cardigan is one of my favourites, but I've had it so long that it's become rather tatty now. I took some sneaky pictures at work...

I've had a busy week! Watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Thursday, went out for dinner (tapas) and a dance on Friday and going to see District 9 tonight.

Gossip girl here.

Polo shirt - Tommy Hilfiger
Blazer - Ralph Lauren (mum's)
Tights - HK
Shoes - Topshop
Skirt - American Apparel
Watch - Rotary

The lighting is so bad. Imagine everything is a shade darker. Anyway, continuing with my school theme from Tuesday, I wore my mum's new RL blazer on Wednesday. I looked so much like a school girl that a stranger actually asked what school I go to. It was a fairly warm Wednesday but I couldn't take my (too big) blazer off because it looked like I was going to play netball.

Methinks I should stop wearing these polo shirts to work. Or at least pair it with some smarter trousers?

C'mon and getcha armour.

Polo shirt - Tommy Hilfiger
Cardigan - H&M
Skirt - American Apparel
Tights - Marks and Spencer
Shoes - River Island
Bag - Mulberry
Bow tie - brother's

Sorry for the poor lighting, you can hardly see my cardian. This is what I wore to work yesterday. I looked like a school girl (I think it's the skirt, which is way overpriced btw, should have just got a £5 netball one). One colleague also said I looked like a waitress. My shoes didn't match but I didn't care since they are comfortable. Work is starting to drain all the energy out of me. I already can't be bothered. Got 40 or so years left of this!

Kind of annoyed that they haven't paid me yet like they promised. Also doing overtime so I can get a day off in lieu but it's going to mess up and they'll underpay me since I'm not on the system yet so my extra hours aren't being recorded. Frustration!!!

20 cigarettes and six pack to relax me.

Poloshirt - Topshop
Skirt - American Apparel
Cardigan - H&M
Belt - Miss Selfridge
Shoes - Topshop
Tights - HK
Watch - Rotary
Glasses - Afflecks
Hair clip - Claire's

This outfit is what I wore to work last Friday. My boss for the day asked me if I had "had some dressing lessons." I'm not sure whether he meant, "Oh DEAR, call the fashion police," or "You're a bit cool, but inappropriate for work." I adore my Topshop shoes, but they somehow make casual outfits look smart whilst dumbing down smart outfits.

I really like Just Jack's latest single "The Day I Died". It's cheery but sad at the same time. Also, I think he reminds me of a certain someone. Sigh.

Living life at 100 miles an hour.

Top - Topshop
Skirt - American Apparel
Tights - HK
Shoes - Topshop
Zip up jacket - Oasis

On Thursday night after work, I went to an outdoor cinema. I couldn't be bothered putting on a new outfit, so I just changed out of my work shoes and threw on a jacket. I'm glad I did because it got rather chilly at night! Next time I go, I will bring a blanket and maybe an extra layer or two to throw on.

The film I saw was The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. It was quite good, even though you knew it would be doomed from the start :(

Monday, 27 July 2009

Ahoy tharrr.

T-shirt - Gap
Cardigan - H&M
Skirt - American Apparel
Tights - Marks and Spencers
Shoes - Topshop
Bag - Mulberry
Hairclip - Claire's Accessories
Nail varnish - Laura Page
Glasses - some Japanese brand

I am usually extremely boring and fairly casual for work (white T-shirt + cardigan + black pants + subtle Converse for comfort) but I couldn't find my black trousers this morning so I wore my pencil skirt. I thought it would be unnerving wearing a skirt to work, but I don't think I was perved on too much. The Mulberry bag doesn't really suit me, but I can't get rid of it now considering how much it cost...

Should I buy a navy pencil skirt from AA? I like how you can also wear it as a tube dress. And should I get another shiny high waist skirt (like in this photo)? Or a cotton spandex one? I love the high waist skirt in coral ice, but that really isn't my colour!

PS I'm having trouble with my Google friend connect blog following thing D:
