Wasurenai.

Once again, I must apologise for my slowness at replying to comments. Let's just say big changes happened at work whilst I was away. Anyway, I've had some people saying they want more posts on Japan but I don't really know what to post about! Is there anything particular you want to see/read? For now, here are a few more pictures from my trip.

A.RA.SHI for dream.

Well, I'm back from my 2 week trip to Japan! Please excuse my slow replies to blog comments, my holiday was very tiring and I am still trying to recover from jet lag! For now, here is a picture a day to sum up my trip. One daily photo doesn't do it justice though as I usually went to several places in one day.

Flying!
Lolita shopping in Shinjuku.
The Imperial Gardens.
Harajuku!
At the Meiji shrine.
VCA exhibit in Roppongi Hills
Sunshine City Aquarium
Disney Sea Resort.
Tokyo Disneyland.
Minnie bears in Kiddyland.
Ueno Park.
Final Fantasy XIII promotion in Akihabara.
Studio Ghibli. It was amazing.
Delicious ramen.

The hounds of love are calling.

By the time this post rolls out, I should be in Tokyo! Unless the snow has grounded planes again :( :( :( I've scheduled a bunch of posts for the 2 weeks I'm gone. Exciting stuff, right? Here are some dropsnop photos I looked at to get me in the mood! I can't wait to peoplewatch in Japan (and check out more dogs like that handsome Borzoi!).

Hair today, gone tomororw.

Taking some inspiration from Naka-san (who is doing a different hairstyle each day for a month) I attempted a similar challenge but on a much smaller scale ie. for one work week only. Monday was a hair bow, Tuesday saw a tousled bun, Wednesday showed a failed hair plait ribbon, Thursday was a terrible chestnut do and Friday involved more failed plaits.

All my styles were inspired by binosusume whom I discovered last year. She has hair tutorials on Youtube where she appears to create styles with ease. I found out that they are not as easy as they look! Or perhaps I need thicker and longer hair...

I left my heart in Tokyo.

Recently I have discovered dropsnap.jp, which is basically a street style blog on the streets of Japan. I think you could wear anything over there and noone would think anything of it. Here are some of my favourite snaps.

Kawaii ne?

Lolita is a style which you may see when you're in Japan (or even in your own country now!). There are different types; sweet, classic, gore and gothic to name a few. Lolita is not something I could personally wear, but I truly appreciate the work that goes into the corsets, dresses and petticoats. My favourite brand for sure is Mary Magdalene. Don't you think their designs are astounding? The fabric they use is also devastatingly gorgeous!

Kira kira ☆Doki doki!

One of the magazines I used during my heavy cut+glue sessions this week was the December 2008 issue of Non-no magazine. There were some lovely beauty product shots in there that I want to share with you! I just love the set up. Especially that old school telephone and the nail polishes on the waffle plate.
