Here's a gander at a work outfit. This is actually dressier than what I normally wear but I wish I had more blouses like this so I could create more 'classical' looks. I think ruffles are so romantic and feminine. Dressing like this must make me look older (or perhaps it was the excess make up) as a woman at the post office asked me about mortgages and life insurance. People usually dismiss me as being 15 years old.

I'm glad that the snow has subsided (for now) but I'm a little sad I didn't take any outfit photos whilst there was a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground. Saying that, it's nice not having to de-ice the car every morning and shivering in work.

Is everyone geared up for Christmas? I was really excited for it until December hit and now I feel nothing. Perhaps I just need to do some more Christmas shopping... for myself!!! Maybe I'll get some cosy Ugg slippers or these amazing discounted See by Chloe platforms. Or maybe I'll treat myself to something from the new Marc by Marc Jacobs collection at Daniel Footwear.

I almost always wear my sailor coat but I don't think I've ever posted any photos of it on here because I tend to photograph the outfit I wear underneath instead. The dress is one I bought in Hong Kong and I loved it when I bought it, but when I tried it on, my cousin said I looked very "cosplay" and it put me off. I think I like it again now. I'm just a sucker for tulle skirts.

It was bitterly cold this day. I went Christmas shopping (though mostly I shopped for myself) and I had to wait at the train station for an hour. I'm sure I almost got frostbite! Plastic Melissa shoes are NOT good for icy weather.

My hair looks really red in these photos. I wish it was actually like that. Why is my face a square?

So some of you may (or may not) have noticed that I've been a bit AWOL. I don't know why I've become so poor at blogging ever since my hiatus in summer. Anyway, the absence is also partly because I've been lucky enough to go on my third trip this year and I spent a couple of weeks over in Hong Kong with a quick trip to Cambodia squeezed in. I wasn't that excited about visiting HK since I go there every few years, but I really enjoyed it. The shopping and the food was as wonderful as it's always been. And Cambodia... there's a lot of beauty there despite its recent sad history. Angkor Wat is a sight to behold!

It's always sad going back to reality after a nice holiday. You never want to leave!

I was invited to a friend's friend's Hallowe'en party and I didn't want to go as something scary, but the point of wearing a costume for Hallowe'en is to be creepy so I went for something in the middle and went as a zombie ballerina. It's a good balance between spooky and pretty. It was easy enough to do since I could pull the costume together using things I already own and just needed to buy some face paints.

Originally I was going to wear my pink tulle skirt, but I'd had a big meal that day and it didn't fit. Plus the black works better anyway. I had so much fun with the make up though! I gave myself black eyes and lips and drew stitches all over my body. Then I dribbled some fake blood out of my mouth. The only problem was the white face paint wasn't that white. And it was a cold night. Still, I kept warm whilst laughing with a wicked ringmaster, two black cats, a pumpkin swordsman, a paedo tiger, Bill Compton, a double headed vampire and various other ghoulies.

I had too much fun doing these ballerina poses.

He's more Xbox and I'm more Atari.

It's not often that I actually buy something from my lust lists but the aran knit cardigan drew me in, heart and soul! It looks great thrown over anything. This day started off a little chilly, hence the chunky knit, but as the day went on, it started getting hotter and off came the layers and on came the hat and sunnies. I'm on the lookout for a navy blue and a light beige chunky knit cardigan now. I can't get enough.

Halloween is coming up soon! I'm actually excited this year. I hope my costume turns out as well as I hope it will. Same with my make up. Is anyone else planning to dress up?

I've been doing Bikram yoga this past week. In the first session I nearly blacked out from the heat but my body has felt so good (and a bit sweaty) after each session.

It is shameful for me to post when I still haven't caught up with comments for my last post. Please forgive me and please forgive the weird blue-ish tint in these photos which make my green dress appear teal. It's the dress which I recently posted about. I think it's charming in a sort of "country" way. I'll be very sad when winter comes upon us and my boater hat will look quite out of place.

Who has tips on how to get skinny legs? I did 10 minute exercises for five days and gave up.

If the grey tweed faux fur collar coat (£80) is anything to go by, then I have bought my winter coat too soon! I love the hourglass shape and the ladylike styling. Most of all, I like the fur collar! This coat screams elegance.

If I could, I'd make my work wardrobe very prim and proper and I can achieve that with the help of Miss Selfridge! First, the guncheck skirt (£32) with its nipped in waist and then a sweet shirt like the cream lace victoriana blouse (£35) or the bow trim detail top (£32). Black chevron knitted tights (£8) and nude frilly ballerina pumps (£25) keep the look demure and the faux croc x body bag (£25) lends a vintage touch. Finally, pick a set of earrings from the flower studs multipack (£8), add a charm bracelet (£12) and a heart ring (£12) and off I go to clock in.

I apologise that my lust lists are most often in neutral colours, but that's the palette my heart yearns after!

Higher over all I'm going to be the last one standing.

I have been a despicable blogger as of late! I can't even be bothered doing outfit posts anymore. Sorry! Here are a few rubbish pictures of some recent purchases. I love autumn fashion, I'm not sure why, but the clothes appeal to me so much more and I spend so much money on myself in the months running up to Christmas. Perhaps it is due to my love of cardigans, tights and coats. What is your favourite season?

This dress has no shape at all and was extremely overpriced (Urban Outfitters) but I fell hook, line and sinker for the Peter Pan collar and the navy contrast trim. I felt the emerald green would make a nice addition to my closet.

Stumbled upon this cable knit cardigan whilst hunting for something else in Zara (a Peter Pan collared floral T-shirt, if you must know). The only thing that would make this cardigan cuter is a couple of suede patches on the elbows.

I am in two minds about this fur hat! It is incredibly cute but I am a little annoyed by the white streaks in it. Also, there's a line that goes along the top where the seams meet. Perhaps I am being too fussy?

Even though I already have four or five winter coats, I couldn't resist this rust coloured coat with navy detailing! It's also incredibly hard to photograph so you may never see the whole garment. Topshop sucks me into buying at least one coat per year.

Last of all, a pair of boots from We Who See. I have been on the hunt for a pair of girly-ish lace-up knee boots for years and sadly the search continues. I adore these so VERY much but they fit me funny so I have since returned them.

So the Mulberry 'Alexa' has made satchel bags very trendy. I'm still devastated I turned down the limited 'summer tweed' version I saw. Until Mulberry releases another colour I'm in love with, I may settle for River Island's grey suede mock croc satchel bag (£69.99). Not that I need another handbag...

The black velvet drape shorts (£26.99) give off a Henry VIII feel, n'est-ce pas? With that in mind I tried to create a modern-Tudor look and the cream embellished zip front cardigan (£59.99) with all its intricacies looks fit for a lady. Hair should be a messy bouffant with a tiara, but a black feather alice headband (£12.99) with sweet pink flower fabric stud earrings (£6.99) peeking out will do. For the contemporary touches, add a pair of sexy mock suspender tights (£7.99) and some black strappy cage wedge sandals (£49.99). Add a fierce black lioness gold look ring (£12.99) and a black and gold encrusted ring (£12.99) and off with your head.

She's not bleeding on the ballroom floor.

One Sunday night I visited Topshop.com to search for something when I came upon the knitted aran cardigan (£48). Despite its pricetag it was love at first sight. I was all over its chunky cable knit beige-ness. On Monday I returned to the website to buy my beloved but it had practically sold out. I eventually went instore to buy one and came out with one three sizes too big (small sizes all sold out!). I like it that much. Kinda hoping they'll do a second run.

Topshop haven't been wowing me too much this year but their autumn collection is fantastique! Slip on a Peter Pan collar tunic (£28) and tuck it into a pair of leopard printed skinny jeans (£45). Top off with fur cossack hat (£20) and lip glaze in Moondust (£6). I think it all goes together, don't you? Some fur lined moccassins (£28) keep your toes comfy whilst the bear ring (£10) and square stone ring (£12.50) are just cool. Also digging the small leather pattern bag (£35) and that's my autumnal uniform. I really really hope other highstreet stores catch onto this chunky cardigan thing.

Why is it that the outfits I like most never photograph well? There is a lot of detail on the top and skirt but I couldn't capture them very well. I also took these photos in a new location and had a LOT of people staring at me so I kind of rushed it. Anyway, I didn't want to let summer pass without wearing my favourite floral skirt. It has buttons and a pleated bow on the back, but I wear it forwards because I worry about creasing the bow when I sit down.

Recently I've had LASIK laser eye surgery. Now I can see clearly without lenses! Still going through the healing process and that means no make up for a couple of weeks. How will I survive? It also hurts a bit when I stare at a computer screen too long so comments may be delayed (but how is that any different to usual?).

Haven't worn these cream shoes for a while, think I'll donate them. I used to wear them everyday for uni.

I've been inclined to believe it never would.

For an engagement party, I was originally going to wear a knit striped dress, which was quite casual. Then I heard my friend was wearing an LBD so I quickly whipped this lace dress on instead. It was an interesting, sometimes awkward, night of G&Ts.

My mum and brother were with me when I bought the above dress. They asked me why I was buying a dress that looks like all my other dresses. I can't help it, I'm a sucker for lace and neutrals. I liked the cuffed sleeves on this. Definitely a warm weather dress, the arms are very breezy.

I really liked my hair and make up from this night but the pictures of it didn't turn out too well. Maybe it only looked good in my imagination.

It seems like peace is the only thing I'll never know.

Two Saturdays ago I attended a girl's 21st birthday meal. We had a lovely tapas meal and some tasty cocktails (apple Mojito!). After that I raced to the train station so I could attend a 27th birthday celebration in the same night. So much traveling for my poor feet. I used to wear these white heels all the time but now they pinch at the front. My feet have grown? How sad.

It looks like I'm doing the socks + shoes trend thing, but really it's only because I cannot wear shoes without socks. At first I put the socks at a cute ankle length but I decided my legs were too stumpy for that and pulled them up so they were knee-high. Do you prefer up or down?

My blogspot pet hate: when it asks you for a word verification after you've clicked 'post comment'. Why can't it just be on the same page?

I am still LOVING Miss Selfridge so much. Each week they add new lines that I covet so badly. My heart immediately soared when my eyes laid upon the cream Peter Pan smock dress (£45). Of course the collar lured me in but I adore its simple vintage aesthetic.

Wear with some seductive black heart back seam tights (£8), a pair of black lace shoe boots (£40) and a velvet stud clutch bag (£22) for a stopover at a bar after a long day at work. Bling up with some black feather earrings (£9), a black bow and heart ring stack (£4) and black filigree band ring (£8). A cream trilby hat (£15) or a black turban tones the look down. Alternatively, a black lace bow headband (£6) keeps with the feminine theme. Paint your fingernails black for a gothic touch.

PS I think I'm only going to do a high street lust every fortnight now rather than weekly because:
a) it's not good for my bank account (or yours) to keep making these lists
b) more websites are using models to display their clothes and that makes it hard to manipulate the images, so I only have a few stores I can work with and I can't rotate them as much as I used to.

I had wrists like steel and I felt complete.

This post has been tagged "work" but it's a semi-lie. I wore it all for work apart from the hat. I'd worn my Hush Puppies to work, but an ASOS package was waiting for me when I arrived. I was so excited to receive my new shoes I wore them straight away. My work wardrobe is a bit more 'classic' than my regular wardrobe but I think it's still 'my style' as I usually incorporate my favourite elements of nautical, bows and ruffles.

Really, I just wanted to show you my new shoes! I'm glad I took the plunge and bought them.

This is an outfit I wore last week to run some errands. It's the return of my cardigan-as-a-dress, whoo. The only problem is the deep V-neck so I had to pin the top together with a brooch. I would have cinched the cardigan with a belt as well, but it looked too busy with the bow, buttons and pockets. A girl in Vivienne Westwood complimented my boater, but I don't know if she was just trying to get me to buy something.

I didn't like these heart tights much before (I would have preferred a more scattered heart pattern) but they actually make my legs look so long and slender! I forgive them. Also displaying my newest jewellery acquisition. It's a two-finger knuckle ring with "love" across the front. I originally wore it 'upright' as in the bottom photo, but my brother said I should wear it 'upside down' so when I do DAPS, it would be the right way around. What do you think?

Do you ever go into a store intending to return something you've bought and end up buying something else (more expensive) instead?

It looks like I put a bowl on my head and then dyed my hair orange. I really need to re-colour my hair, it looks awful! So I think this is the most colourful outfit I've ever posted? The dress is one of the few things I kept after a big Miss Selfridge shipment. The duck egg blue, the cute spots, the pleated hem and the coral/white Peter Pan collar sucked me in. I guess it helped it was the only item I'd actually seen in real life before I made my order.

Who would've thought that I would wear cable knit tights in August? I popped the yellow shoes on because they were in a pile by the door that I had planned to donate but they seem to be finding their way into quite a few of my outfits. Perhaps it is not yet time to let them go.

I'm sad that Miss Selfridge have put their pirces up a bit.

I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy.

This is an outfit from a few weeks ago. It was during the time I suddenly got into Naruto Shippuden (nerd post alert!). I dug out my Konoha protector and wore it out like a total n00b. It kept my neck warm. I guess this outfit was slightly ninja influenced. The treggings tucked into my shoes is something I do anyway but it made me feel more like a shinobi that day. Hmmm, it's been so long since I did an outfit post that I don't know what to say!

PS I'm totally disappointed with Sasuke. Loving Itachi though. And Inoue Kazuhiko has the best voice ever.

Recently my friend told me how she had a big shopping spree after being good for several months. When I thought about it, I hadn't bought much recently either and suddenly I found myself window shopping online for hours. Miss Selfridge has had most of my love, especially the star print one shoulder dress (£39). The print is cute, the style is on trend and the duck egg blue is delightful!

Sadly, when I tried it on, the dress did not suit me at all. But still, I shall dream! I adored the nude seam platforms (£40) as well but they just crushed my toes. The English summer has completely disappeared so some winter white tights (£6) and a micro frill umbrella (£10) would come in handy. A loose up hairstyle pulled back with the cream mesh flower headband (£7) would display the gold chandelier leaf earrings (£6) perfectly. Finish off with the rose bow pearl ring stack (£6), the diamond lock clutch (£15) and a spritz of rose perfume and that's your girly ensemble done.

Hallo meine Lieben! ♥ Many apologies for being away a month longer than I anticipated. I'm afraid it was mostly due to laziness! My new job involves a lot more work that I thought it would so I'm going to slowly ease myself back into the blogging world. Even though the weather is starting to get warmer, I still look at jumpers when I shop. Perhaps that's because England doesn't ever really get too warm. But isn't this heart intarsia sweater (£50) really cute though? It's reminiscent of Comme des Garcons.

For this look I was channeling Audrey Hepburn on a windy yacht. Light-coloured slim seamed trousers (£40) and zip flower ballerinas (£40)and a studded hobo bag (£90) for all your trinkets. Keep time with a white strap (£30) watch and the salt out of your hair with an asymmetric trilby (£16). A touch of class can be added with some lovely pearl bunch bead earrings (£10) and a diamante disc resin bangle (£18).

A few weeks ago, I passed by Peacocks and saw a lovely dress in the window. It was the ladies 50s inspired button dress (£18) but the only one left was on the mannequin.

When I saw it, the Grand National (horse derby) was coming up. It would have been pretty and not too OTT when worn with strappy high heels (£22), a sparkly oversized purse bag (£12) and a demure pair of long leather gloves (£6, was £12). Instead of a foofy hat, a butterfly clip (£1) could be fastened to a sweeping up do. Since the English weather is unpredictable, a boyfriend cardigan (£7, was £14) would be a useful backup.

Then after the races, wear the dress with some strappy wedge sandals (£14), some jangly bangles (£7) and some snazzy cut out sunglasses (£5) as you bask in the summer sun.

Boho chic is one of those recurring trends this year and with that comes leather and fringe. I was never a fan of fringe but it's really grown on me, which is why I'm lusting after the fringed flap xbody bag (£55) from Warehouse. Looks like a useful bag for holidays, right?

Sticking with the summer boho theme, the bag would look great with the mixed jungle print maxi dress (£85), a pair of stud and whipstitch (£25) and two tone catseye sunglasses (£16). You could do something 'different' but totally expected and wear the dress with a leather biker jacket (£140) or you could wear a vintage western denim jacket (£45) instead. Of course you need to finish off the boho look with a bunch of jewellery such as a cluster and balls necklace (£14) and a whole load of bangles for £10 (this, this or this).

Some day you will find me caught beneath the landslide.

If you couldn't tell from the name of this blog, I quite like rabbits! So it was no surprise to me when I saw the bunny print crotchet neck dress (£20) on BooHoo.com, I was really really tempted to hit the order button.

The outfit I conjured up was a vague Alice x couture mishmash. The oversized chain sunglasses (£10), plain heel court shoes (£20), square faced cuff watch (£5) and quilted bag (£18) are the glamorous elements. On the other hand, the denim bow hairband (£6), gold button cardi (£15) and elora bird earrings (£6) make up the more whimsical and relaxed elements. How would you wear this dress?

The weather has become all dreary again, so I took that chance to wear my Liz Lisa coat yesterday. I bought it in Japan and I love it but I'm afraid of ruining it because it's white! It's got lovely lace detailing all over it, pretty gold buttons, a sweet bow on the back (that has come loose on one side), gorgeous floral lining and a detachable white fur collar.

To complete my himegyaru look, I pouffed up my hair using bump-its (I still don't get how they stay in your hair) and added a tiara. Since I was only popping out for errands, I didn't do the full on curled hair and 'ageha' make up. I was surprised at how much I liked this outfit. Despite the fact my socks kept falling down. My stumpy legs must have loosened the elastic.

Whilst taking these photos, a fox ran by near me! I was surprised to see him (her?) during daylight.

Around Christmas time, I put the Albert fringe lace up boots (£68) on my wishlist (albeit in a different colour) and I'm quite happy they are still in stock. Yet, I cannot decide whether I deserve to buy them or not.

During the warmer months, I could wear them with a bleached denim shirt (£30), perhaps cropped, and turn up city shorts (£30) with bare legs. I haven't posted any fashion inspiration photos for a while, but I couldn't help sharing the A/W 10 collection by the Thai designer, Sretsis. The cool blues, pinks and greys mesh beautifully with the 'pretty vintage' styles. If I had the money, I'd snap up this whole collection in a heartbeat. I'd also buy the wigs in the first photo. The colours are perfect!

Arrrrgh, the brown! I wish Hollister wasn't so dark... you might actually be able to see the things you're buying then. Like the cali beach tote (£50). This straw bag would be perfect for a beach outing and the little scarf tie adds a nice dash of colour.

I can't decide which dress is cuter; the navy dot point vincente dress (£50) or the blue floral hobson (£40). Either way, both are perfect for a trip to the seaside. Add some embellished leather flip flops (£34) and a socal beach necklace (£24) for a typical beach babe look. Throw on a light red san pedro bay jacket (£84) to keep out the chilly ocean breezes. On Saturday, a couple of friends and I went out for a mid-morning meal. I had a poached egg with hollandaise sauce on an English muffin and a side salad along with a hot pot of darjeeling. After that we each had a freshly baked sultana scone with cream and strawberry jam. Delicious!

Later that day, one of my friends and I drove to to a nearby town. We visited some charity shops and nurseries (the plant kind) and passed a lot of lovely pubs along the way. There were so many people outside because it was such a beautiful day. We're thinking of going back next weekend. I'll dress more appropriately next week, I was far too warm in this cardigan! My brother hates me dressing in pale colours.

I've got exams coming up and my career depends on them so I'm going to blog a bit less frequently (though I have a lot of lust lists made up and ready to go). I'll be even slower than usual at commenting. Sorry!

My friends wanted to celebrate my birthday (I didn't!) so we decided to go out for a meal and then drinks. Then some people couldn't make the meal so we decided on takeaway so people could come whenever and then out for drinks. Then it just became Chinese takeaway with cider and a Charade DVD at a friend's house. Audrey Hepburn's outfits were amazing!

Leggings and a big chunky cardigan are all I want to wear at home! I can't wait to add more ugly cardigans to my collection. The satchel in this photo is the one I used for uni. Check me out, so ahead of the satchel trend. It took me SO long to find this one. My dream satchel (perfect, colour, size and design) was one by Paul & Joe but cost £450, so I went for this £35 one from my local market. Sadly, the lock on it is now broken :(

From Luella came the heart cutout and this pale pink jersey dress (£22) is New Look's interpretation. It also comes in black, navy and red... a cute and simple variety for summer.

In my vision, I'm wearing this whilst driving down a dusty road in a dirty white pickup truck, mirrored pilot glasses (£10) on, a piece of straw in my mouth and my cowl neck utility jacket (£30) blowing in the wind. Completing the cowgirl look is a bead trim hat (£15) and a pair of cracked suede boots (£60). For girly touches with a nod to nature, there is a pair of lace floral tights (£6), a leaf necklace (£6) and chandelier leaf earrings (£6). And what's in my twist lock satchel (£18)? A tube of red lipstick, a pocketknife and a wad of crumpled twenty pound notes.

On Sunday I went to have dim sum with some family friends. I had done a closet clearout on Saturday, which is when I found this merino wool jumper my brother was going to throw out but I had salvaged and decided to wear it for my lunch outing.

It turned out to be way too big/boring and I tried using belts and necklaces to make it work but it all failed. Then I wore my Chanel Chung-style and bada bing bada boom. These shorts + tights got me through some tough times at uni. I wish I could wear them for work.

Argh, lately my neighbours have been catching me taking photos. It's kind of embarrassing! On Good Friday my friends and I went to Birmingham's Bull Ring to shop but my outfit was deemed boring by myself so I'm not posting it. Here is what I wore when I went to Edinburgh over Easter weekend to visit my grandmother. I love that city! I especially love the old buildings with huge windows.

I try not to wear trousers (an attempt to be more feminine) but I kind of just wanted to lounge around in comfort in the car. I really like the details on the cardigan: the pointelle, the bows, the puffy shoulders and the heart buttons, but it's a handwash only item so I'm wary of wearing it too much incase I ruin it. In fact, that's why I don't wear a lot of my wardrobe. Silly, huh?

It's my birthday next week and although I don't plan on doing anything for it (I don't like making a fuss and I don't like the thought of growing older) it's still fun to plan outfits. I fell so hard for the VIP bejewelled heart layer dress (£175) but despite its tugging at my heartstrings, the price is pretty ridiculous...

Thus, I'd be more likely to go for the bow back bandeau stripe bodysuit (£22) neatly tucked into the grecian wrap skirt (£40) with its gorgeous draped fabric. I'll stand tall and proud in lace platform heels (£50) & snug and warm in the chevron faux fur jacket (£75). Finished off with a stud quilted hobo bag (£40) and some pretty crystal heart and bow earrings (£8) I'd be ready to paint the town red.

Last Saturday my friends and I had hoisin duck pancakes for dinner followed by sticky toffee pudding. Our new thing is watching old films at the weekend; Hook, Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid. Catching up with old friends is good... I really wish I had my own Friends-esque apartment!

I wore a jersey dress that looks a lot like babydoll nightgown. I initially bought it in navy because I thought it's something Blair Waldorf would wear for bed (this was back in 2008 when BW was still awesome). I was devastated when it shrunk in the wash so I bought the blush pink one too. It has also shrunk, but not so much it looks like a vest top!

Is everyone loving this four day Easter weekend as much as me? I really needed a break from work!

Hoodies aren't really my thing. Neither are graphic prints. However, I do think the nude bird motif sweat top (£22) is really cute! The print is just so whimsical and it's in my second favourite colour.

You could wear this top with leggings, but for something different, wear it over a pair of dark indigo denim shorts (£20) and some black small diamond tights (£5) tucked into black buckle ankle boots (£25, was £35). I didn't know Mischa Barton had a range at DP and the only bag I like is the black chain bag (£85) which really works with this outfit. It's elegant but casual at the same time. The black rose studs (£5 for 3 pairs) are simple so they don't detach from the beautiful corsage stretch bracelet (£10) and the cute bow stack ring (£9). I actually prefer the plainer band!

This is an outfit I wore for work on Monday. I'd been wanting a breton stripe dress for a while, so when I found this in New Look for £12, I bought it straight away. It's slightly see-through and a bit short but nothing too scandalous.

Oh, and here is also the debut of my new hair colour. It's called 'praline' (ie. brown) but I still have a reddish tint. I think I like it. I hope you've all had a good weekend! The weather here is delightful, for once.

Although I really liked what I wore last Saturday, I just couldn't get a good photo. This dress is another one of my recent purchases. It's probably the second favourite floral print in my closet. I just wish the cut of the dress was more demure! It's very summery but the black tights and booties toned it down perfectly for the rainy weather.

My Saturday was so hectic! I had to sort out my tax disc and my friend's wedding cake, then I had afternoon tea plans with uni friends and then late Italian lunch with old friend and at night I saw my uni friends again for dinner and Disney. My car did a lot of mileage that day. I hope petrol prices go down soon.

I also did some first aid training last Wednesday. It was surprisingly fun. I only hope I can remember it all in an emergency!

How gorgeous is this one shoulder feather dress (£150) from Oasis? Shame it's so expensive, but I think it'll be worth it! The nude fabric, the silhouette and that beautiful feathered bottom is surely worth the extra pennies.

I'm not one for braving the cold for parties. There is always a place to put your coat! Therefore, I'd definitely wear a blazer, like the rome clean button jacket (£70), when venturing out into the night. Also, I'd don some cute heart tights (£10) to keep those pins warm. Keep accessories to a minimum; a zip snake detail purse (£18) doubled as a clutch coupled with a simple trapped chain bangle (£12) and spring hoop earrings (£8) are all you need. A necklace would be too much! As for footwear, go for plain black heeled pumps or add a little detail such as the zip and lace ballerinas (£40). A pair of ava sunglasses (£16) will shroud you in mystery, but don't be a sausage and wear them at night. Noone looks cool wearing shades at night.

Last Saturday I went to Crufts, the biggest dog show in the world. The atmosphere wasn't as exciting this time, perhaps that's because I went on a Sunday last year. I don't know if my outfit was that appropriate, but it's not like I was rolling around with all the hounds (my favourite group, btw). I don't think the cardigan worked. Same with the tights. But I suppose trial and error is the key to style. You can't really see the lace on the dress (I need to learn how to work with lighting) but I think it's divine!

Bedlington Terriers, Chinese Cresteds, Beagles, Salukis and Poodles are still my top five doggy breeds.

Last Friday I was due to have drinks with a long lost friend but due to modern technology, that didn't quite work out. I still managed to grab dinner at Hard Rock Cafe with some friends from university and that was really fun! Had a (slightly burnt) SOS guacamole burger with delicious fries. Finished it off with a sweet key lime pie in a tumbler. I actually wanted the apple cobbler but I didn't want to look greedy!

My dress for the night was a design by 'You' that I bought from New Look. I like its slightly retro look. I had trouble finding shoes to match so I wore one of my pairs of work shoes with little heels.

Whilst I can't wait to dye my hair darker again, I'll really miss this blonde-ginger colour.

I never thought Republic was a place I'd shop at, but after discovering Miso, I keep going back for more! Next on my to-buy list is the vintage floral top (£12.99), which I hope is long enough to be a dress. The print stole my heart!

I've always wanted a knit vest and the crotchet neck jersey (£16.99) is perfect! Match it with some Soul Cal deluxe stripe hotpants (£24.99) and a cable beanie (£7.99) and you have a cute "it's spring but it's still cold" look. Alternatively, the studded shoulder cardigan (£29.99) will keep you warm too whilst looking cute. Miso's jewellery is also gorgeous. I especially love the epoxy flower ring (£7.99) and the swallow and love necklace (£6.99). Its dangling charms are so delightful.

Oh, it feels good being able to take photos outdoors again. Last Sunday was a surprisingly sunny day so my friend and I had an impromptu chase for tortoise food and clover plants. We saw adorable rabbits, chinchillas and chameleons and not so nice crickets, mealworms and tarantulas. We finished the day with 99 Flakes topped with lots of raspberry sauce.

I think there were a few too many patterns in my outfit; I wish I had plain brown tights. The plaited hair and boater are because I was having a bad hair day, but somehow it added to the outfit? It's been so long since I wore these loafers. I was rooting through the cupboard to find some other shoes, but I happened upon these. I felt bad because I'd forgotten I even had them and they were a birthday gift. I guess that means I have too many pairs of shoes. Does this happen to anyone else?

Although I love autumn/winter fashion the most, I can't wait for the warm weather!

Last Friday, my friend and I planned to have a movie night. I bought peach melba cheesecake and Jazzles and she cooked lasagne and provided Maom Joy Mix. In the end, we only watched Thelma and Louise and then some trash on TV (Embarrassing Bodies, Snog / Marry / Avoid and Hotter Than My Daughter).

My outfit choice was born out of a desire for comfort. I love this ugly cardigan I got from my Tokyo trip (1990 yen). Sadly, the belt loop got hooked on a door handle and ripped off as I walked away but that's okay, I didn't like the belt too much anyway. The straw boater is something I bought with a gift voucher two of my colleagues from my old workplace got for me. It ended up being £8, rather than £20, woohoo. All I need now is a floppy capeline hat and I'm all set for summer.

The other day I was hanging out in Accessorize whislt waiting for my friend when I spied the beauty that is the allepo maxi dress (£180). Unfortunately it's far too long and far too expensive for me, but I can still admire the beautiful jewelled collar and the gorgeous draping fabric.

If you can't wait until summer to wear this dress, get the lindsay lurex gold bolero (£36) to tide you over until the sun comes out. For glamorous beach beauty, wear with cleo gladiator sandals (£40), elaborate chain and disc chandelier earrings (£14) and a pretty oyster pearl flower ring (£8). To give this outfit a true summer feel, add a splash of colour with an oversized purple orchid flower clip (£6) and a jangle of maldives mix bangles (£20). Accessorize never fails to disappoint with their bags. My favourite is the flamingo print weekend bag (£37). I love prints like this!

All of my partying ensembles have a simple formula: dress, tights, heels (usually black peep toes) and chain strap bag. Last Saturday was no exception. It was my boss' leaving do. I wore my new sailor-esque dress for the meal and the mini bar crawl afterwards. I wore my bow hairtie as a 'bracelet'. It's a cute accessory and very handy if you decide to tie your hair up later in the night.

We ate at a delicious all-you-can eat Brazilian place. They came round each table with freshly cooked meats (beef skirt, pork ribs, chili chicken, beef rump, chicken hearts etc) and sliced off bits for you. Their mashed potatoes were amazing too! My throat hurt for a few days after shouting in all the bars. Why do they have to play music so loud?

I love wearing my faux fur coats out, they keep me so warm! But I do get very upset when people spill their drinks on it.

Despite nautical and nude being big trends this season (and also two of my all time favourite looks), I'm not really feeling the high street this week and I think you can tell. Saying that, I did pop into Select on my lunch break yesterday and I really want these weird sandal slash boot (£14) things. This isn't the best picture. But can I really wear them by the pool side and whilst walking along sandy cobbled streets when sightseeing? Multi function is key for holiday clothes! You can only pack so much into a suitcase.

A cute spring look would involve these ankle cuff sandals paired with bleached jeans (£22) with rolled up cuffs, a frill ruffle vest (£12) and a lurex ladder scarf (£8). Alternatively, wear them with a cropped ditsy print corset (£14), a taupe ghost hitch up skirt (£16) and a wonderfully textured loopey cardigan (£25). Both of these looks costs less than £60, so you might as well treat yourself to a dome stud duffle bag (£12) to carry you loot around.

Here are some pictures of me looking dejected at 5am last Saturday. It was an impromptu night out with cheesy music and watching men dressed as women dancing. Since I hadn't got round to handwashing my tulle skirt, I decided to re-wear it. I think I could have spruced the outfit up a bit more with additional accessories, but I didn't want to look like I tried too hard.

I love how this high-waisted skirt can be worn casual (see last post), for partying and also for work. It makes me feel a bit better about spending so much money on it. Also, I don't get girls who can wander out at night without a coat! I guess that's because I'm too stingy to get taxis door to door.

Right now, for some random reason, I'm in a Dragon Ball revival. I think Vegeta x Bulma is my OTP!

Miss Selfridge has disappointed me as of late, but right now they have some really pretty things in. Such as this satin dress with its amazing cut and all their jewellery. I'm not big on jewellery but I'm really lusting for lots of pieces! Two of my favourite ones were the glitter butterfly ring (£8) and adorable bow heart drops earrings (£6).

Everyone says you shouldn't mix too many trends at once, but I think this nude lace, brogue + satchel combo works. They have been my favourite things for a long time, even before they got trendy. Perhaps the pearl crop floral shirt (£35) with its beautiful collar and the white rose printed shorts (£28) is overkill though. Just cover up with a hooded kimono cardigan (£38) with star buttons to tone down the flowers.

This is the outfit I wore for Chinese new year last week. I saved some of my Tokyo purchases so I could ring in the lunar new year since wearing new clothes is a tradition. If there's one thing I have to complain about Japanese clothing, it's their weird sizing! The skirt just sits weird and that's really sad because I paid nearly 8,000 yen for it. Love that I found the Minnetonkas on sale at Marui though. They must be the only thing I found cheaper in Japan than the UK.

I took these photos outside a church. It felt sacreligious and I also exposed myself to a lot more gawkers.

Oh, and well done for those who spotted my new hair colour. I got it done in Japan but it's not as platinum as I wanted it to be! I can't wait to go dark again.

I liked that Taylor Momsen was the new face of New Look. I liked that 'nude' is one of the trends New Look is doing well. But most of all, I liked the chambray spot dress (£28). I like the colour, the frills, the neckline and the polka dots. It's just too cute!

For supreme sweetness, I paired it with a heart button cotton cardi (£16) and plain strappy patent courts (£20). At first I thought the colour of the bow front clutch bag (£10) was a bit dark but I think it works. I looove the accessories I chose; some pearlescent dome studs (£3) which aren't too 'look at me', an adorable dainty deer necklace (£4) and a giant flower headband (£5). Finish the look with some plain pale pink tights and a poppy pink lip. Mwah x

Warehouse isn't usually a place I'd shop but it surprised me by having quite a few stunning pieces this season. My favourite item is probably the soft prom dress (£70). I love the soft colours and the girlish style and fabric. I think it'd look great with leather gloves, a veiled fascinator and T-bar heels but Warehouse doesn't do those. Instead I opted for granny chic by adding a drape pocket sheer cardi (£40), a gorgeous lace knitted scarf (£30) and a simple handknit cable beret (£10).

The other piece that caught my eye was the frill collar blouse (£30). I'm just a sucker for frills! I also really like pegleg trousers such as the pinstripe washed trousers (£40). Combine with a pleat & frill underarm bag (£30) and a beaten metal irregular cuff bangle (£8) and you have a chic office outfit.

I love how Tokyo caters to ALL kinds of fashion and it thrilled me to find so many stores filled with lace, sweet knits, old-fashioned prettiness and neutral colours! This dress is actually dusty pink. I really need to tweak my camera's colour settings.

It was my mother's birthday over the weekend so we went out to yam cha. After that my brother and I attacked Topman/Topshop. I came away with two dresses (from their boutique section) but I might return them because I really shouldn't be spending money!

I wanted to do some lust lists with Japanese brands, but they all seem to like using models to display their clothing online so that made it difficult. Therefore, I'll just stick to using UK high street stores. This week it's River Island's turn again. The ballerina in me really likes the grey jersey mesh skirt (£29.99, #584782).

The outfit was a little inspired by the Fame remake that I watched on the flight home. Pairing the skirt with a crew neck long sleeve top (£12.99, #585836) and studded ballerina bow pumps (£24.99, #584126) you get a simple but cute dance class outfit. To turn it into an outdoors get up, just add a cool studded biker jacket (£34.99, #583863), a sweet anchor bow brooch beanie hat (£16.99, #586222) and a pretty lurex abstract plaid scarf (£14.99, #581741). If you want to glam it up, don some diamante hoop earrings (£7.99, #579177) and a rose enamel ring (£7.99, #585572). Sorry the colour scheme is so similar to last week's. I guess light grey is one of my favourite colours at the moment.

Parisienne chic has always been a favoured look of mine, so the new Topshop collection has me head over heels! I also adore their new Meadow collection featuring florals, lace and embroidery. It's all my favourite things this spring! My favourite piece is probably the flute one shoulder dress. So ethereal, right?

For this outfit, I'm imagining trotting around Florence after a light sprinkling of rain. Brave the cold afternoon and go without a jacket, just put on some pretty Emilio Cavalini lace tights (£8) and a pale grey cobweb snood (£16). Look pretty with the secret platform shoes (£65), some adorable teapot and cutlery earrings (£5), a lace corsage headband (£8) and a sweet flower chain band ring (£4). Throw your guidebook and your camera into a bow eyelet bag (£35) and remember to pick up the long frill dot umbrella (£22) before you leave the hotel room.

When I was doing some Christmas shopping, I stopped by New Look and saw a bunch of things I wanted to buy but I made myself resist. In particular, I fell in love with the sugar pink crochet dress (£20). Isn't it sweet?

I'd layer it over a crochet trim blouse (£18) before snuggling up in a faux fur jacket (£40). All the accessories would be sweet and cute like button stud crystal earrings (£3), a beautiful quilted shoulder bag (£15) and either an angora beret (£7) to fight off the cold or a bunny bow alice band (£4) for extra sweetness. Then for a touch of lolita, I'd finish off with slouched knee socks (£5) which have cute ribbon detail and bow front flats (£12).

Through the rabbit hole once more.

Who is looking forward to watching Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland? It's a Disney non-canonical sequel to Lewis Carroll's novels full of amazing CGI (take a look at this HQ image). The cast is pretty starry; Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham-Carter (of course), Stephen Fry, Christopher Lee, Alan Rickman... Even so, I'm not sure what I think. I guess I'll just have to wait until March! Whenever I try to inject some colour into my lust lists, I usually fail. Colour isn't my forte. Saying that, I do like a bit of red. Such as in this red duffle coat (£17, was £35) from Peacocks. Initially I aimed for a preppy look but it didn't quite turn out that way.

Firstly I took the orange checked shirt (£6, was £12) and tucked it into a pair of black sateen shorts (£7, was £14), which has a removable belt. For a dignified look I took some black 15 dernier tights (£2.50 for a pack of 5), a pair of cream chain detail ballet shoes (£7.50, was £15), a gold headband (£1.75, was £3.50) and a beautiful dogtooth fabric bag (£5, was £10)... just don't hold it next to the shirt! Now, I thought this outfit would look awesome with a delightfully tacky gold chunky chain necklace (£3, was £6) and equally tacky gold mesh diamante earrings (£3, was £6) but ~~boring~~ nice shower earrings (£3, was £6) will do just as well.

Everyone goes a bit crazy in the boxing day sales but this year I resisted, since I am saving for my Japan trip (I fly tomorrow!!!). Even so, I did let myself have a little browse online and concocted this little lust list. It's a ten piece wardrobe, all sale items, which I think can be worn various ways. Here are just a few:

1. Mooch around the house in the petites satin hareem trousers (£15, was £32) and petites white sequin vest (£10, was £30).

2. Hang out at a trendy bar with the above two items plus a crochet insert waistcoat (£15, was £32) and black oversized lurex beret (£12, was £5).

3. Head off for yoga in the hareem trousers and a white curved hem T-shirt (£14, was £5) and keep your hands toasty in a mongolian handwarmer (£15, was £35).

4. Want to dance at a club? Pair the sequin vest with a gorgeous high waist prom skirt (£10, was £30), some black bow front peep toe shoes (£15, was £45), and an amazing gold chainmail pearl necklace (£6, was £12).

5. For a laidback office look, tuck the curved T-shirt into the hareem trousers and wear with heels. Throw on the cute black spot trim blazer (£10, was £30) and you'll be the belle of the boardroom.

I hope every has had an amazing 2009! Here's to a fastastic 2010! What did you get up to on new year's eve? This year my mum had a hot pot party at ours with some family and friends. I'm the NYE grinch so I surprised myself by having a good time. I ate lots of scrummy food and we pulled the Wii out and had lots of fun/laughs. There were also fireworks, Asti and secret gin + Cokes.

The above outfit is what I wore on new year's day. My family went out for dinner before my cousin returned to London. Since I doubt you can tell, the top and skirt are both navy in colour. Navy was my most worn colour in 2009. As you can see, I wore my H&M scarf again. I go through phases of wearing one item a LOT. I think I shall take it to Tokyo with me... Eek, I'm flying on Wednesday and I'm so unprepared! I have a vague list of tourist sites and shops. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations? Can be things to see / eat / avoid saying. I'd love your help! The snow is back. I hope planes aren't grounded.

Last Tuesday my family and I went for a 'Christmas' dinner. It's something we do every year. This year was potentially cancelled because of the snow but by night time it had stopped snowing so much. We went to a steak place and I had some delicious lamb chops!

Again, I just bundled up warm. Sorry my cold outfits are all so similar. Think I made a wrong choice with the tutu skirt though. I love it, but it's a bit small so not a good choice for a hearty meal. It's also quite itchy. After dinner, we went to the supermarket. Considering it was 10:30pm, the place was rammed. People were acting like it was the end of the world.

Last week it snowed, not lots but a decent amount. In fact, it was snowing when I took these photos. My mum and I went Christmas shopping on Sunday, it was scary driving in the snow, especially with my little car! After shopping we escaped the blizzard and had some dim sum before the treacherous journey home. Later on Sunday I went to my friend's house for a delicious Christmas dinner (lamb, but with all the trimmings) and did a random secret Santa exchange. We all bought ￡10 gifts and had a lucky dip. I took a robot USB + Darth Tater and returned with a cool TV shaped photo frame.

My outfit that day had to be changed to fend off the cold and I pretty much just piled on the layers. The coat I got for a mere ￡5 two years ago. It's four sizes too big but it keeps me sooo warm. I adore the print on my boots but they are too 'sloppy' so I don't wear them often. They are fur lined though so they keep my feet toasty and I did spend weeks searching for this particular pair before I found them so I can't bear to get rid of them.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? Wrapping presents is my favourite part but this year I've been so lazy with it!

I am not really one for dressing up on Christmas but it's still fun to imagine. Both the barb wire tea dress (£50) and the tiered skirt dress (£60) are sweet dresses which can be smartened up for the festive day.

Accessorise with an adorable enamel bow necklace (£14) and cute enamel flower earrings (£8). Hopefully you can just laze around in logo slippers (£12) but perhaps you need to pop out to see aunt Mabel. In that case, throw on a sequin knitted beret (£15), a black lurex stripe scarf (£14) and hooded bomber jacket. Stick presents into the quilted tote bag (£40) and you'll be ready to venture out into the cold.

On Monday I had a day off from work to go Christmas shopping. It was semi successful and I had a good catch up with a close friend in Starbucks so it was a pretty satisfactory day. Outfit wasn't too interesting, I just wanted something comfortable and easy for shopping. This will probably be the last time I wear this pink peacoat, I've had it for five years and I think it's time to let go. I also wore my new VW x Melissa boots. I adore them and they smell soooo good! Sadly, they attract dust and fingerprints far too easily for my liking. I ordered them online as the store didn't have my size. I was very wary though because I went a size up. I'm glad I did, I could even possibly go up two sizes. I don't want to have clown feet though...

My friend had her engagement party/dinner on Saturday. My friend and I were horrifically late but I don't think we missed much. The food got better with each course! I had some sort of pressed terrine as a starter, a chicken leg with chive mash main and two desserts because I'm greedy. I had a lemon and vanilla syllabub with damson (SO GOOD) and warm parkin with poached pears. The waiter was confused because he couldn't work out why there was one extra dessert.

I had a delicious mocktail called 'flying fairbrother'. If I ever get married, that's one drink that'll be served at my wedding. It fits in with my colour scheme so well! Ahh, to dream... Anyway, I last wore this dress to my graduation. I tried to dress it down a bit. My oxford shoes don't really match, but I think that's why I like them here.

People said my hair(band) was Lady Gaga-y. My inspiration was actually Blair Waldorf.

Want to go all out this holiday season? Then splash out at Karen Millen. Although there are some gorgeous origami dresses there, what I fell in love with is the laidback but elegant vintage bead dress (£199). The colours and the patterns just drew me in.

A faux fur stole (£99) would be gorgeous with this, as would the soft frill mini bag (£89.95) paired with the soft frill peep toes (£120). Since we're doing matchy matchy, I may as well throw in the crystal drop earrings (£45), crystal bead bracelet (£65) and crystal bead ring (£50). Keep your eye on the time with a leather print watch (£90) and make your Cinderella getaway in a tweed ruffle coat (£250). Tweed is the underrated champion this season.

I've been slacking with outfit posts lately. That was the whole point of this blog, oh well. This is what I wore for my work Christmas party on Friday. I didn't want to be too dressed up. I only put the hat on afterwards because it was so cold, but I think it looks pretty cute so I wish I'd had it on the whole time.

I had pate + toast for starters, salmon + trimmings for my main and a Belgian chocolate cheesecake to finish for my meal. Afterwards there was karaoke. They put a joke one for me and a few girls to sing. I thought it was an Abba song but it turned out to be 'Like A Virgin'. Cringe. I don't even know how the verse goes. Ugh, it was horrible!

If, like me, you are heading straight from your workplace to your Christmas do then you may want to prepare beforehand. Perhaps you will take your work dress and super accessorise it or you may want to change into a fabulous new frock. The rome origami dress (£65) is a great choice for the former due to its intriguing neckline and for the latter I adore the sequin flapper dress (£150)... I've always wanted one!

With the flapper dress, you shouldn't go too crazy with accessories; get some nice sandals, black nail polish and maybe a hair fascinator. The ridge disc stud earrings (£10) will look good with either outfit. Tights should be non-existant, sheer or shadowed (£10). For the black dress, I envisage a stack of elastic and stone bangles (£14) along with lots and lots of rings. Try the facet stone cocktail ring (£14), metal button ring (£10) and mini flower stack rings (£10). Of course you'll also need a clutch (£40), mighty heeled platforms (£65) and a ruffle funnel trench (£100) to keep you chic and warm.

PS I love love this blush flower ring (£14). Maybe I'll add it to my Christmas list.

Today I went to find some high-waisted work trousers but they don't seem to exist anywhere. I tried to make it interesting by wearing a bunch of necklaces. The jewellery made it very annoying to try clothes on!

This week I've eaten well; got lots of mince pies, went out for a royal Thai meal on Tuesday and had Chinese hot pot on Wednesday. Work has been tough because people have gone on holiday. I need to do their jobs as well as mine and it's hard to remember everything.

I'll be the first to admit that I really don't get the fascination with Alexa Chung! It's odd because she does stripes, nauticals and geek-chic really well and those are three things which I adore. Then again, I don't really get inspired by 'celebrities'. The thing I like most about her is that she has designer items but still buys a lot from Topshop. The festive season is upon us and for many of us, that means Christmas parties! Have you started looking for your dress yet? I have! Due to its prices, Monsoon isn't a place where I regularly shop but they do have a gorgeous collection of glitzy dresses. In particular, the gold galileo tunic (£135) caught my eye. I just LOVE the cut of it; the flowy sleeves and the cinched waist accentuate the figure perfectly.

I don't think you should over accessorise a dress like this. In fact, I even think wearing flats such as the studded bow leather black ballerina pumps (£30) are a better choice over some killer heels. Slick your hair back and add a metallic feather spray on disc with veil fascinator (£24) or noir chuny tear drop chain earrings (£8) for some pizazz up top. The aladdins lamp embellished hard case clutch (£40) has enough detail to be interesting but not overpowering. For drama, add some eclectic christmas bangles (£8) and a pair of stitched leather driving gloves (£20). Finish off with a dark plum lipstick and modern statement gem ring (£14).

PS The Paris bon voyage tripe brooch set (£10) would make an adorable Christmas gift!

Taking some inspiration from Naka-san (who is doing a different hairstyle each day for a month) I attempted a similar challenge but on a much smaller scale ie. for one work week only. Monday was a hair bow, Tuesday saw a tousled bun, Wednesday showed a failed hair plait ribbon, Thursday was a terrible chestnut do and Friday involved more failed plaits.

All my styles were inspired by binosusume whom I discovered last year. She has hair tutorials on Youtube where she appears to create styles with ease. I found out that they are not as easy as they look! Or perhaps I need thicker and longer hair...

Dorothy Perkins had a 20% off everything 'sale' last Wednesday - Friday. I went to try on the mink lace up ankle boots (£45) which I have been admiring for a while. They are a lovely colour and fit well but I think they are a little too 'butch' for me. I need a slightly more delicate boot! Still, I enjoy fantasising about possible outfits involving them.

For example... pair with a sweet pink lace dress by Uttam (£15, was £30) and girly cream line and rib tights (£6). Be cute and warm with an oatmeal cable cardigan (£28) and adorable cream faux fur pom pom trapper (£12). Match the boots with a mink twist lock shoulder bag (£25) and accessorise with some pretty jewllery; the pearl cluster ring (£12) and cool short reef knot necklace (£12). Basically, all my imaginary outits involve a nice dress to balance the toughness of the boots.

Had the swine flu vaccine this week. Exciting stuff? Found an amazing white faux fur scarf in a dépôt ventes-esque shop but it was £40. Too dear for me! Bought some cute boots elsewhere though. Am also debating over some Vivienne Westwood booties and yet another Topshop coat. If I get them I cannot allow myself to purchase anything until January. Think I can do it?

Oh, can you tell my tights have a leopard print pattern? My P&S camera lighting is so poor! I get stared/laughed at when I wear my old woman rainhat but I love it. It's so much easier than lugging an umbrella around. Most of the things I tried on yesterday had stripes. I am a sucker for nautical themed things.

Why is it that when you see something cool in a magazine, you can never find it in real life? I saw an amazing feathered skirt in December's 'Glamour' magazine from River Island but it's not on the website. Still, the frill skirt (#583012, £24.99) is super cute and would be great for both work and off-duty autumn days.

My faux fur obsession is heightening, especially because all the high streets have jumped on the trend. Therefore, it's no surprise that I love the feather jacket (£110) from Warehouse. Despite its name, it's not made up of feathers.

There are lots of lovely dresses on offer at the moment so it was hard to narrow it down to the animal jacquard dress (£75). Wear with marl ribbed tights (£10) and some sexy quilt & stud leather drivers gloves (£28). Accessorise for your Christmas party with a sequin clutch (£40), chain knot post drop earrings (£14) and studded / angular / box chain multi bangles (£14). Top off with a fascinator and some red lipstick and you'll look a million bucks.

(I also really want this faux fux collar (£25)!)

This week has been a quiet one. I think I get more boring as the weeks roll by! This outfit is another supermarket get up. Really, I just wanted to wear my newest coat which I mentioned yesterday. It has (short) bracelet sleeves, which aren't so convenient in the chilly weather. I stopped by a few charity shops on the way to Sainsburys but wasn't tempted by anything.

My neighbour came outside when I was taking these photos. He must have thought I was a vain weirdo.

It's alarming how charming I feel.

I've been craving exceedinly good Battenburgh all week. Finally had some this morning, along with a warming cup of English breakfast tea whilst watching West Side Story the movie.

Bought this from Miss Selfridge last week. Been debating whether or not to keep it, since I have the leopard print one from Zara Kids for half the price. Currently, I'm thinking yes!

Lately I have been making a huge effort to wear jewellery. Normally I just buy it and never wear it but that's a waste of money so I'm trying to put it all to use.
Merlin tonight! Shall I go out or stay in with my baked potato and chili? Hmm. What are you all up to this weekend? Hope you have a good one!

Posting more MK photos today (from Olsen-fan). Her rings are less visible in these shots. There are very very few people I look to for fashion inspiration, but the Olsens are definitely on my list. I don't think I could pull off their style, but I truly admire their quirkiness.

My current obsession is rings, which is weird because I'm not much of a jewellery person. It's probably because my Olsen fetish has returned. My look for this winter is quite simple; I just want a bunch of knitted jumpers mixed with leggings and boots. That's why the batwing jumper (£20) from New Look caught my eye. The leopard just gives is an extra something.

I'd wear it with VELVET leggings (£14) and some tall leather riding boots (£70). A festival pouch bag (£7) seems right, if only it came in a darker shade. To keep things moody I'd wear nail polish (£2.50) in 'claret' and the limited edition bling chain ring (£8). On cold nights, I'd tuck myself into a long duffle coat (£30, was £40) an item I've been debating over for years and a super cute faux fur trapper hat (£12). What are you planning to wear this winter?

I look like a giant in this photo! It's too close up. My leopard print dress is from a boutique in London. It has puffy sleeves like Disney's Cinderella but it's not so obvious in the photos. My waist also looks so big. I think I'm gaining weight.

I've been feeling sooo bloated all week. I had a curry with a couple of friends on Monday but I was feeling 'heavy' even before that. I need to eat healthy this week! It was my friend's birthday yesterday and had an impromptu dinner invitation for 5pm, which is what I wore the above dress to. We had a Chinese banquet and played rhyming 'Articulate'. Afterwards, Mo and I had a few drinks (well, I had Coke because I was driving).

Did everyone have a fun Halloween? I wish I'd dressed up!

Is it just me or does season 3 Blair Waldorf not "wow" you like she did in season 1? I get that her wardrobe needs to mature, but I just don't LOVE her like I did. Don't get me wrong, she has had some nice outfits, but to me they just aren't as fabulous! For a blast to the past, I checked out GG stylist Eric Daman's collection for Revolve Clothing from last year. I like how the classic preppy shapes which have been modernised with pops of colour. Sooo Gossip Girl.

Who remembers the cute + sexy Cadbury's Caramel bunny? She re-appeared earlier this year, slightly redrawn with the slogan 'still got it x'. She has been redrawn again since Giles Deacon has designed a dress and a scarf (out October 26th) for her based on the new Cadbury's Caramel Nibbles. Her fur scares me a bit.
